“The Hobbyist Miner”
In today’s video we take a look at this Cheap 5 Year Old GPU that is still The Best Graphics Card for GPU Mining, in 2024! I love the RTX 3000 Series and the RTX 4000 Series GPUs are insane! However keeping in mind price, the Gigabyte Radeon Vii I believe is the Best GPU for Mining in 2024. In…

What is your Best GPU, you have Mining Currently and what do you have it Mining?
X1 ipollo is the best GPU for mining !!!!!!!!
You should compare this to the 6600
rx 6800 better kawpaw AIPG make 36hash on 139w softuer
Vega is garbage at Blake3 yeah only 5w/MH
on kawpow with ideal clocks, memtweak etc we can get the VII up to .188 MH/w which isnt awful.
these IMO should be on Ergo, Hypra or when ironfish/pyi switch to fishhash that. they're most efficient on mem hard. the core is a little limp for kawpow these days.
Someone say code 43?
people dont go out and buy radeon 7's… theyre very unreliable … as they were quickly produced to contend with nvidia at the time.. that being said.. corners were cut in the quality checks dept with the HBM2 memory (aka High Bandwidth Memory).. the memory will fail in all r7's some sooner than other… that why so many of them get the error code 43 .. once you get that error on the code…. its trash.. yes theyre great cards.. but only for a very short time
can you do one for cpu mining?
Instinct mi50 is the same thing seems better and cheaper just have to figure out cooling. I have 2 to experiment with don’t have my stuff setup yet tho
Code 43
On Hashrate if you select GPU calculator it does indeed show yield.
On the website max miners says they accept credit cards but there is no option to pay by credit cards. You might want to rethink who your deal with.
Such a good card, but its sooooo easy to brick :/ I wouldn't recommend if you are a new miner who doesn't really know how to oc amd gpus, but if you are confident and willing to learn, it's really hard to beat this bad boy in terms of price to performance
The VII were one of my fav cards…. remember back in the day when I had 2 rigs of VIIs runnin Monero forever but those 12 cards dwindled down to 9 because of failures and I decided to part ways with them…. one card I just looked at it the wrong way and it went code 43 …. so be cautious with these monsters
Used to have a rig of 6 of those mining eth in the old good days, ~100 mh
on ebay the card is going for $100 to $300 for that card.
I've heard that they are prone to a lot of issues. Is that the case?
yea if you can find one which is working they are great gpus. but 80% of them already dead. If someone really interested on this card and dont want to put $500 investment they should try the AMD instinct Mi50 16gb, they are around $130 and the same card as VII. The only thing is they dont have fans so you need to put them in server or make them water cooled. But i wouldnt spend $500 on a 5 years old nearly end of its life silicon.
yield is important, but you need to also consider token supply, price, and current market cap. need to be realistic with a project's potential for growth.
Actually the revenue on hashrate . no is the yield you can get with the card 😅😅
Actually on hashrate . no the yield are the revenue 😅
Not cheap….yikes
Where can you find these, and for how much? I'm also curious how 6800xts stack up to the vii.
It would be nice to see video about world's first proof of work PEPE coin called PEPEPOW. I'am spec mining it at the moment
