Cannot access Vsphere through webclient after upgrade to 6.7

Hi,

I upgraded our ESXi from 5.5 to 6.0 and then to 6.7. but cannot access the Host anymore. Neither through the client (obviously) nor through the browser.

When trying to access it through the browser, I get the following message:

>503 Service Unavailable (Failed to connect to endpoint: [N7Vmacore4Http16LocalServiceSpecE:0x00000031ad1feee0] _serverNamespace = / action = Allow _port = 8309)

I tried to follow the Instructions deleting the \ui line from endpoints.conf but there is no such line.

Would be great if someone can help me.

  1. thanks to the random strangers suggesting a reinstall, everything is working now.

VMs are still there and ESXi config is a no brainer compared to trouble shooting

  2. sooo esxi no longer uses the vsphere client.

so if your vCenter is a VM and its acting screwy, you have to access the esxi directly like this:

How about restarting services on the vCenter when you gain access to vcenter ssh command line.

  3. I had the same issue after upgrading to 7.0.
I reinstalled esxi because it took me less time than troubleshooting. And everything othe than the config is still there i only had to assign the license and register the VM‘s.
