ESXi 7.0 – VMFSL partition

Environment: HOMELAB

I am testing the new ESXi 7.0 using the free version. One of the things that is driving me crazy is the fact the the VMFSL partition is taking 50% of my 240GB SSD.

– VMFSL partition: consolidation of coredump, tools and scratch into a single VMFS-L based ESX-OSData volume

I have tried reducing de volume by using dumpSize=5120 parameter on BOOT.CFG file and reinstalling but it didn´t work.

– Is there any way to reduce it?

– Is it a good practice to reduce it?
