When I try to start the VM, the error message:
The disk “C:uservmsubuntu.vmdk” has internal consistency errors that were most likely caused by a host crash or host power failure. VMware Player can attempt to repair these errors. However, important guest data might have been lost and the guest OS may not function properly. As a result, you may wish to restore this virtual machine from backup.
When researching solutions I tried repairing it using the command “vmware-vdiskmanager -R “<path of the vmdk(virtual disk)>” However I need to be in the
C:Program Files (x86)VMwareVMware Workstation
directory to do this but this doesn’t exist on my machine the only directory is
C:Program Files (x86)VMwareVMware Player
This means when I run the command mentioned I get the error: ‘vmware-vdiskmanager’ is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file. Does anyone know how to repair the disk?
