How to install MEGAcmd on Photon OS 3.0

I have a VM running Photon OS 3.0. I want to backup some directories to cloud storage MEGA. They offer a linux tool called MEGAcmd found here: [https://mega.nz/cmd](https://mega.nz/cmd). They don’t specifically have a distro for Photon. Would any of those listed distros work for Photon OS? or has anyone had experience installing this software.

I was able to install it on a Ubuntu VM following this tutorial: [youtube](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oVsJ8N0Zgr0), but I don’t think this will work for Photon. Any suggestions you have would be great.

  1. You can install RPM packages on Photon with tdnf, or install Yum and use that.

    But…why would you? Photon is a somewhat niche distribution intended for use in enterprise environments. As you’ve already experienced, you’re probably making life more difficult for yourself without any real benefit from using Photon here.
