NSX for vSphere 6.2+

I’m currently looking into getting the VCP-NV certification. I did the training for VCP-DCV, but never eventually got certified. Long story short, does anyone know if there is any trial ISO for NSX for vSphere v6.2 or above, like there is for vSphere Hypervisor (ESXi) ? I don’t see one out there, any not sure if it’s even a thing or if anyone on here could shed a light on that ISO or recommended training videos or materials used for the VCP-NV certification.

  1. Your options would be to leverage Hands On Labs (zero cost) or purchase VMUG Advantage to obtain a great deal of licenses for 250 bucks (I believe that’s the cost). Hell, resellers can’t even get NFRs unless they hold the Network Virtualization competency.

  2. You said you did the training for VCP-DCV but never got certified, so in order to get VCP-NV, you will need a class or a Cisco cert in addition to the exam.

As others have said, if you don’t have any experience with NSX at this time, I would look into NSX-T which is what VMware is going to be pushing going forward. NSX-V is still out there, but I don’t think there is active development of new features as their focus is all on NSX-T. The Hands On Lab (HOL) for NSX-T is pretty good.
