RDP over UAG Tunnel

Hello all,

I’d like to know if anyone has faced this behavior.

On a regular RDP session over let’s say OPENVPN doesn’t matter if the disconnection was triggered by the user(closing the RDP window for instance) or if an internet outage happened, from the “server” machine perspective the user is now disconnected.

However, when tunneling over UAG, if the user closes it changes the state to disconnected, but if the user suffers an Internet disconnection to the agent the user is still “connected” and keeps in that way.

To test I unplugged the cable from a client test device, of course, I lost connection. However, Vmware agent logs still show me as connected.

What configuration I’m missing on UAG to make it work as a regular RDP session?

  1. I forgot to mention, over Blast this problem doesn’t happen, but unfortunately, we still have some physical devices not running Windows 1809+ to support blast.
