Setting up my homelab to use Horizon 7.10 with UEM and…

…it’s now called Dynamic Environment Manager and it only comes with the Enterprise Edition and VMUG only has the Advanced Edition.

  1. Hmmm, I was thinking about picking up the VMware vSphere Essentials Kit with a 3 year subscription to upgrade my home ESXi server so I could use more cores on a single VM than the free license allows but would joining VMUG provide a better than free license?

  2. Just skip DEM. No real changes at all. I tested DEM in my environment and backed off as soon as i saw when i logged into my test VM “Applying UEM environment settings” 1 minute later “Applying DEM environment settings” After that i noped out, stuck with 7.10 and UEM 9.7-8
