“Unable to connect to the MKS: vim.fault.GenericVmConfigFault” error when I try to connect remote.

Hello. I’m on Manjaro and my virtual machines running on a Windows 10 machine. I want to access them remote but when I try it my Manjaro machine I got “Unable to connect to the MKS: vim.fault.GenericVmConfigFault” error. When I connect to my Windows 10 host machine I can see my VM’s screen. I’m totally noob at VMware, may you help me please?

Both of VMWare version VMWare Workstation 15

  1. I do not have much experience with Workstation (11+ years with vCenter, ESXi, etc.) but take a look at this KB. Not sure, but you may need to make some adjustments to your Workstation config to make this happen.
