-I am unable to spin up this RHEL vm on my windows machine I keep getting the same error:

VMware Workstation and Device/Credential Guard are not compatible. VMware Workstation can be run after disabling Device/Credential Guard. Please visit [http://www.vmware.com/go/turnoff_CG_DG](http://www.vmware.com/go/turnoff_CG_DG) for more details.

  1. Every time I’ve run into it, it’s not been an issue with credential guard, but with me accidentally having full-fledged Hyper-V installed on the computer instead of just the management piece. Hyper-V and VMware don’t play well together.

I would imagine the new Windows Sandbox does the same thing to break VMware, since it relies on Hyper-V.

Uninstalling Hyper-V would let me use VMware the way I was wanting to. Not sure if it applies in your case or not.

  2. the tech preview from lrefra is only for people running windows 10 preview build. the final build for may 2020 will be released in a few weeks and who knows when vmware will release the new version with full compatibility for credential guard/hyper-v. if you can’t wait, at your own risk, follow instructions for disabling credential guard. microsoft has an official tool to do so
