  1. my problem with mining is the hardware you have to buy is expensing when you buy It and it loses value so fast, especially when the mining rush ends. it also only happens to be profitable for a few months. it's like owning a stock with a high dividend, but it's likely to have a dividend cut shortly and drop 25-50% of its value in a year. It's like trying to pick up dollars in front of a stream roller.

  2. Yep My first ever CPU Mining rig was a 3900X Is that actually my first ever PC I built like this is actually the first computer I did from scratch. I still use this processor as my main gaming PC and computer now and it’s in a case. But don’t get me wrong I do have other CPUs/GPUs/HDDs to use for mining but I still push this 3900X processor today on NiceHash 😂

  3. From the data I've seen the 5950x looks like the best value for mining randomx. It nearly ties with the 7950x in hashrate, (hashrate.no puts the 5950x ahead of the 7950x for randomx hashrate) has a slightly better efficiency rate, runs cooler, and you can build out an entire miner for the price of just a 7950x CPU alone. besides AVX 512 (which doesn't seem to matter with randomx) why pay the premium for the 7950x for a dedicated CPU mining rig? What am I missing here in my value calculations?
