vRealize Automation (vRA) 7.6 increase size of disk0

I have been trying to increase the size of Disk0 in vRA, which I thought would be an easy task, but I can’t figure out how to do it.

In the Blueprint, it’s greyed out in the Storage Tab.

If I try to edit VirtualMachine.Disk0.size in the properties tab, I get an error saying “Specify Storage Properties in the storage tab”

I found an old forum post saying this was a known issue in 7.0, but surely thats been fixed by now.

[How to make a user be able to increase default disk size during blueprint request?](https://communities.vmware.com/thread/530733)

On a side note, is it possible to increase the size of a VMs Disk0 through an action?

  1. My understanding is you’d need to create your own work flow to increase the disks in your template after they are built (but before completion in vRA). I tell our customers to expand it after build if they need more. It is very rare this is needed.

  2. If the blueprint is a CloneWorkflow and not Create then any disks on the template can’t be modified at clone time. You can use the event broker to extend the disk in vcenter though.
