vSAN – 2 Disk Failure (different nodes) with 4 nodes in RAID5 – All Flash

Basic vSAN related doubt

I have a 4 node All-Flash Cluster with FTT=1 and RAID-5

I understand my setup can manage only 1 node failure, but what if 2 disks get failed which are connected to 2 different nodes, will it still able to manage

​

since FTT are defined for disks and node

  1. FTT is just that, failures to tolerate. If a VM has components on both of those disk, then it will fail having experienced more than the single FTT configured.
