Come on Cheap RC manufacturers lets leave the friction shocks in 1980 please Its 2023 almost 2024 and these things should be a thing of the past! This would be a much more capable cheap RC car with a decent set of oil filled shocks! I can confirm HBX and me are friends after clearing a few things up and i do have an upgrade set of shocks on the way for the 2105 and i am planning on making it brushless too so stay tuned for that. At the price it may not be a Hyper GO Killer but with a couple upgrades i think it could be a much more capable little truck! What do you think? Let me know ππ

Like the fast pace of the video and the overall disappointment for the friction shocks. 144002 is a better alternative in every aspect..

Is it me or is that just a rebranded FTX Tracer?
Bad RC car, simple as that. I am new to this hobby, it say son who got me into it, he is just 5 but he loves bashing his car around. He has the 2996a for Christmas and of course Dad needed to check it out (just to make sure all was well of course), ran it around at work, great RC truck, lots of attention and many at work had a go. Why would HBX launch something like this? Cashing in is all I can think.
This might be a good intro for a young child as they tend to drive at full throttle. Just ask my traxxas slash! π

So what have they changed from the older model, chassis looks different? I'm surprised they didn't make more room for a bit bigger battery with having a new chassis
Hey @beyondRC! Great video! I feel that for around 100$ the HBX 16889a Pro is a better buy. Have you already reviewed the HBX 2997a? It's 50 quid or so more expensive but seems like a better runner up to the MJX 14210 (v1 / v2 /v3==H14BM).

All these HBX , HYPER GO ETC look like they come out of the same factory with different boxes and stickers.
C'mon for the price its prob put together by Child Labor which live & sleep under the Company bench after toiling 12 hrs. Chinaman is business savvy, has been flooding the Market with Garbage & ppl are known to buy Garbage ,as we've seen in the last two years.

Friction shocks stink and you'll never get grip in leaves, its disappointing for us grown folk but for a 3 year old itd be ok lol
if we aren't more critical about friction shocks they'll keep including them. i'm gonna go spray paint a water tower, i'll be back.
Glad i don't buy the crappier RC'S as bad as those , as the cheapest 14th scale RC cars i own , are LC RACING EMB-RA RALLY 3S cars and the 10th scale HSP HISPEED GT 3S cars . All my other on road RC cars are all more expensive π€£ π€£ π€£

One. Yes friction shocks need to stay in Walmart level rcs. 2. These Asian rc companies while they make a quality affordable rc, really need to hire someone whom actually knows English so they can put their input on first naming their cars properly and 2 upgrading what these stickers say. Also stop naming these rcs random numbers or some weird names or stuff like SPORT TRUCK 4×4
