  1. 1:01:26 Speaking as someone who likes Kubernetes, uses Kubernetes daily as part of my job, and has multiple kubernetes clusters in my homelab (both virtualized and on bare metal), if you tell me that I should have done something in kubernetes, I will just stare you in the eyes until you look away.

  2. WOW, I got years on both you. I started home lab'ing in 1999, I bought a IDSN line, that I had dual bond so I could have I believe it was 128K connections, I just started getting into Linux ( SuSE) and as a part time job, I was doing web design, so I started learning how to run Apache and Sendmail. I've been running a lab since then. It went for 1 PC that I build to a 1/2 rack gear. I am trying to replace with Small Board Computers, I am tired of the heat/power. Nice videos guys.

  3. Raid Owl, lucky you. I wanted to play with the Zima Blade, I own two boards. One is LGSM_ and the other is a firewall. I like to try Zima Cube, see if it does a better job than Synology for the cost.

  4. 29:21 I have a couple of modern PC's with Firewire cards just because I bought professional grade (RME) audio interfaces 15+ years ago and they still work perfectly. Multichannel audio doesn't need more bandwidth than Firewire so it makes sense to use what you have.
