I think the problem many are facing is this line: ./easyrsa build-client-full client1 nopass #you need one of these for each client, and if you use the same one it then breaks – I could be wrong, any advice appreciated, but I believe we need to create multiple of these and only use each one once per end user device. So if you have 3 client VPN connections, you need 3 of these files, each to use their own unique one.
Seems like once the laptop is restarted, the configuration doesnt work. Anyone else faced this?
I am an IT, dont trust this configuration. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 do not open those port in your personal PC. You can enable port triggering in your router.
It's funny because i waste 20 minutes on the config part and then i clic connect and it only says "failed to connect"

My router has setup for openvpn but will not let me set ports less rhan 16000 , do inhsve to set openvpn on 1194 only? Or is it okqy if inopen port like 16500 and use that one across setup?

I need your help. I have Ubuntu 18.04 on my laptop and it has a VPN settings configured on it.
The VPN server is OpenVPN, Also the split tunnel is already configured on that OpenVPN server. Why I can confirm this is because others are using the same VPN client configuration on their systems and when they connect to that VPN they are able to connect to office network using their local internet as well as simultaneously they are also able to browse internet on the local laptop as well
Only one difference is that most of my colleagues are using Windows or MAC.
My main issue is on my Ubuntu laptop the configuration present is not allowing me to use my internet connections for both when I connect to the VPN my connection only allows me to connect to office network my local internet disconnects I have also tried to ping google dns I get request timed out.
Below are the parameters which are already added inside the OpenVPN configuration file present on my laptop which should allow the split tunnel to work but for some reason it's not working I am not able to identify why.
pull-filter ignore "redirect gateway"
route-nopull
route <My workstation IP> 255.255.255.255
If you are able to guide me with the details given, I would really appreciate it. I have sudo permission on the laptop if I need to modify anything.

Found the problem
After restarting the device, you must enter the Ethernet, close the sharing, then reactivate it and reconnect to the server, then the connection is completed.
I don't know the exact solution to this problem
The VPN is still connected via Android, but without internet. Is there a solution?
I can't connect vpn client in my phone using different area network. However i can connect vpn client using WiFi LAN.

thank you for this video. everything is working fine. i have only one issue: after rebooting the server, i must re-apply the network sharing to have access to my internal network even if the sharing is already checked. I must uncheck it and then check it back. did you experienced this issue?

I did follow all the steps, but, The openVPN inthe phone says its connected. But, there is no internet access for me after it connects to openvpn, I also cant access the network files too

in my case, the vpn wouldn't connect because it couldn't access the certificates, i guess it works on mobile but it doesn't using the windows openvpn connect v3.. if you can figure it out i'd appreciate a lot
