I got to try the Infinadeck, a VR Omni-directional treadmill from the movie Ready Player One. A absolute next level invention that could be our future consumer holodeck. This opens your eyes on how VR gaming, fitness, social and trainings can be improved in so many ways. Plus it will work with…

  1. Great to get to show you the Infinadeck and tell you the company story. Watching the celebrated "Nathie" play Half-Life Alyx on the Infinadeck was actually kind of inspiring for us in the office and re-captured the magic of physical movement inside VR for me. As you hinted at, even as a really small company still, we hopefully have quite a lot more to come this year.

  2. I can't wait to see when this and Disney's little floor thing get to the point where you can run jump roll etc etc at full speed. That'd be movement in VR definitely complete then it's onto the next system like different sensory inputs other than sight and sound. Just imagine being able to manually run jump and roll in games like boneworks/labs and Assassins Creed Nexus or even TWD saints & sinners 😂

  3. I think getting this to move without a tracker, would just be as easy as using 6-12 proximity sensors, closer you get, the farther they push you back

  4. How is it that they work on this tech for already six years since that movie came out and still haven't made any progress in updating it? It looks like they don't really care or they don't plan on getting this technology out for the consumer market

  5. $50,000 was about the price of plasma screen TVs when they were first introduced. Now they're considered obsolete, and you can hardly give them away.

  6. Lol no you didnt not even close my friend has spent the years since he saw the movie in theaters when he waa a kid learning about how to actually bring that and more better hand tracking than anything we have sadly it isnt out yet its going though but eventually it will and its also affordable than any companies product the treadmill isnt going to be $1000 dollars bc we all know that isnt affordable for everyone and he doesn't care about the money but brings his lifes dream to life and for all

  7. I’d love to have this and be able to play the quest 3 with it! I’d have it built into the floor in my living room! 🤣👌 have a carpet or something covering it up when not using the VR as to not have it in the way n stuff. Wow to have this kinda thing and the body and hand haptic suites that I’ve already seen available would be incredible!

  8. Ready player one was the single most disappointing movie I’ve ever watched. The book was 100x better and it’s a shame most people didn’t experience the story as it was intended.
