I have Windows 11 23H2 X-Lite running on my iMac.
But yesterday I got a new idea, because there is no sound driver on the iMac for Windows.
And … how fast X-Lite is, Fedora Linux runs quicker and has the exact interface I wont !!
So here my questiion:
How to make from my current Windows 11 23H2 X-Lite installation directly a Virtual Machine, so that I dont have to go again thru the whole Windows installation-proces again, but directly make use of THIS current Windows X-Lite installation because it is directly translated to a Virtual Machine ???
How much of a performance hit do you take when running Windows as a VM ? The reason that I ask is, if you use the VM as your daily OS, and then wish to move to newer and faster hardware, you should be able to migrate the Windows VM. This would presumably mean not having to reinstall all of your apps which is something that most of us hate with a passion.
Thank you for this. I look forward to trying to do a fresh instal on a VM with unsuported hardware on parent PC. I could not get it to work on VirtualBox so will now try VMWare.
