  1. thank you for the video, the 3 lines for nsmb.conf for mac have the # sign next to them. that means they are not turned on in linux. should we remove the # sign? thank you in advance.

  2. Thank you for this video. I did watch the previous video and got some small improvements from creating the nsmb.conf file as you'd suggested. In particular, I've noticed that mounting SMB shares was a little bit quicker. I have three shares in my login items, and previously it would take a few seconds to mount them after startup. Now they're mounted and open before the finder even displays. That's nice. But browsing files didn't appear any faster until I added these extra commands into UnRaid. Now folders that used to take 30 seconds or longer to open are opening nearly instantly. I'm very happy about that.

I wish you'd have taken the time in this video to explain what each of the lines in these extra settings does, like you'd done in the original video. I don't like making configuration changes when I don't understand their implications. I noticed the interfaces line here doesn't line up at all with my configuration so I omitted it. I wish I knew what that line was for and whether it's important.

  3. How come the settings in the description are different to the ones shown being pasted in the video? Have you learnt more since recording the video, or was there an error copy/pasting?
And should I modify (or remove) the line containing what I assume is your Unraid machine's local IP address?
