people dug that out with pickaxes? it is incredible what you can do and how far they got. I wonder how long it took to dig
ah I can't wait to see more! wouldn't mind finding a few myself later in the year.
maybe I'd bring a pickaxe and take a few kilos to smelt and use or just dig for fun and see how far I can get 😉
Love this old explore team 😁 Loan so Loan 🤩 thanks Team 😃
Maybe not 13d but 1/3d – 1 shilling and 3 pence…?
That stick looks more like it was meant to have a rope hooked around it rather than a thumb.
That was a good trip
Reminder: never go alone
Great vid as always lady and gents. It never ceases to amaze me the size of these mines considering the tech available at the time
"A tom stick" for measuring distance side to side in stope for timbers, would have had another stick attached that slid to get measurment
Cool mine
What this at 19:26 minute and causes the colour? And what causes the colour at 21:17?
I thoroughly enjoy your videos. Educational, fascinating and full of amazing stuff. Thank you!
Another great explore of this mine with some interesting finds. I love the counter.
6:40 … I think this is 1'3d one shilling and threepence.Or about 6p in todays money!
Interesting video.
Might have been an 1844 as well near that 1845 at 07:24
Nice mine! The formations are amazing!
Thanks for sharing 🇨🇦
Ioan mentioned Cornish miners moving to Wales. I have ancestors who appear near Hope in Flint out of nowhere. They were in lime rather than metal mining, which did them proud and they grew wealthy. I ask because a Welsh colleague said the surname Peter, later Peters, is not Welsh and there is a concentration of it in Cornwall. I wonder whether the Cornish migration also brought quarrymen to Wales?
Your pictures of newly created formations in the levels, shows how far nature is ahead of the artistic world, both in its world of paint on canvas or in the design of alien worlds for film makers. Whilst I would love to see it first hand I could not cope with the underground journeys you so nonchalantly undertake. Thank you for bringing your hidden worlds into my sight.
Great exploration again, love the finds and do watch Coast and Country this Friday, 7 pm, ITV Cymru Wales, for some more from Ioan.
What many watchers from outside Wales don't appreciate, is just how much rain we have been having, it has been the wettest here on record.
Great video. It is rare to find a walking stick. Rarer yet, one for a midget.
Amazing
I love this stuff and it also nearly causes me panic attacks. LOL!
Brilliant as always.
I can't wait for your next adventure
Once again, amazing delve underground, the writing on the wall, the counter system, the orange colours, all so interesting. We’ve got to plan another visit to see you guys! More ROV and water wheel updates please!! Thanks.
Finnaly a proper video quality 🎉
Thank you for letting me come along 😊
i find all your videos absolutely fascinating! may ask you guys something, would it be possible that you could set some candles up so we could see what the lighting would have been like for the miners working in there? or did they use lanterns? thanks guys keep up the great work…
The Tally counter made it for me . something of a rarity, not seen anything of its like else where .continue with your good work .
Just love all your stuff. BTW – we call absail – repelling. Great videos 😎
