  1. Bad news Shack, the cheap artillery units got a major nerf in the last update. I believe the Hapan Battledragons can interdict your ships with their mines too. Make some Star Galleons, you've had a ton of close calls, and they really could save you from said close calls. Also, you lost the hero because his frigate was too close to the frontline, and the Enemy AI targets heroes units first.

  2. The first time I face the hapes in 2.1 I got spooked of that Royal Battle Dragon and over build anti shield ships (strike cruisers, Victory II, Eolodons etc) with a tector and two ISD IIs

Lest to say I wrecked them, I got overconfident rush to their capital only to find *THAT* special surprise y'all know about.

Took me half my campaign until I got the executor to took it 😢

  3. By the way, Storm Commandos demo teams are very capable in destroying vehicles and buildings. When the units use the cloaking ability it lets them get away, but can not attack anything. The best way to maximize their damage is to run point blank up to the building or vehicle while cloaked, put them into cover mode and then uncloak. All teams will drop their bombs and missiles at once. Then you can just cloak and run away to do it again, until everything is dead.

[ Reagel Felrin, 457th Tactical Squadron "Dagger" ]

    "Retaliation"

No more than a day after we've gotten back into Death Squadron, we've been sent directly to Raithal to deal with the Hapan fleet. The Hapes, in a surprising twist after a long silence, took initiative and took both the orbit and the planet itself. Both garrisons stood no chance to the surprise of many in the fleet… save Admiral Star. He seemed to know the Hapan fleet's capabilites well. The Daggers would learn the full extent of the Hapan ships the hard way.

Raithal was the first combat the squadron would fight in after that ISB Agent got us promoted. To say TIE Defenders were effective was an understatement. To rip and tear through a swarm of starfighters at a time is a sight that only perhaps the creme de la crop of ace pilots see. For the rest of the fleet, it was a pyhrric victory. The loss of one of our star destroyers was attributed to the sheer volume of disabling rounds the escorts, who the Admiral swiftly dispatched as an act of revenge. The Hapan flagship, however, fled.

We gave chase to Tanaab where once again, the squadron made quick work of the enemy's fighters. That sense of pure pride in the squadron left, as radio comms from the Darkstar frantically screamed out for support, with the squadron responding quickly, destroying the station they faced with our protons.

Agent Cavalier seems to be hanging back, particularly negotiating with the Tanarithians for details and specs about this… "Star Bomb"…? Was it? Either way, I'm not sure they'll budge, ever. As much as I'm thankful for the promotion, we're the Navy's finest pilots, not some ISB lapdog. Parrel does acknowledge this, but knowing full well the ISB could strip us of everything we've gotten so far? I'd prefer this new life. Reagel Felrin, out.

  5. You lost the hero fighter due to sending your carrier to the front line to fight. Never do that with hero carriers. The fighters themselves can die, however if you lose the carrier you lose the hero. Don’t let that happen with your other one. Hero fighters are insanely strong for the empire since normal TIE’s cannot stand toe to toe with rebel fighters

  6. Hate to break it to you Shack, but you could have totally won that ground battle at Raithal. The place below the main base has an outpost cluster of pads and walls, while the spot near the generator has several capturable guns and a capturable factory; I held that planet with basic infantry and support vehicles over several assaults, each with more Hapes than the last. Oh, and for a heads up, the Hapes (at least with the previous version) go ham and heavy with fighters, so a heavy anti-fighter fleet is highly recommended when fighting them.

  7. I'm not sure if it's worth it, but do you think you could record and upload the videos in 1440p? I've been seeing a bit of bitrate issues. But also, 1440p videos are much larger files, so it is slower to upload and takes up more hard drive space.

  8. Just checked out the remake mod. I don't know when was the last time you checked it out, but it now has ground combat and some more stuff if you want to make another spotlight. Love what you do!

  9. Lieutenant's Log
    Orbit of Tanaab
    Week 142

Well, it's finally come. Death Squadron and the 14th have begun the counter offensive against the Hapes.

The Hapes decided they wanted mire worlds to bring under the control, so they invaded Raithal, which they have already blockaded for months now. They began an upsurge in piracy around the sector, not caring who they attacked so long as they left with holds filled with treasure and resources. Even worlds and colonies that were supporters of the Alliance called Imperial forces for support.

As the Hapan carnage around Tanaab worsened, Admiral Star led Death Squadron up onto the Perlemian Trade Route. Our first stop, Raithal.

The naval battle was a busy one, with many Imperial warships damaged while the Hapan fleet was destroyed, including a royaldragon. The battle at Tanaab was pretty bad, Fel's squadron lost their carrier, and have been given a posting on the Dakstar, which is being serviced by a mobile shipyard. The rest of the Hapan fleet lies over Lantilles. And it won't be long until they taste Death Squadron's fury.

In the meantime, Chief is busy getting the 14th busy hunting down Hapans that are seperated from their home space. Almost eight hundred ships were destroyed or stolen by the Hapes, and Chief seems to want the debt of blood repaid to us, with interest.

  10. Morning Shack, not sure how your running the campaign completely. But you could do a sub-GM system to handled smaller objectives on the map. IE you handle the gameplan, your subGMs handle the individual missions.

  11. My favorite part of this video was when you were worrying about cycling out your heavy capital ship away from the cruisers at the same time you were ordering your hero fighter carrier to run directly at them.

  12. Speaking of Ord Montell, "Admiral Thrawn Reporting". Also, Shack…. maybe build some of those Advanced Tie Fighters? Ya got the Tech for it so at least consider building a couple dozen Tie Avengers or something.
