Why is this surprising? (Not the hyper car), but Doug being surprised that Cadillac is trying to compete with their European counterparts lol. Germany for example – many of their cars are “performance oriented, luxury cars”
And if all you’re making is Luxury cars (Cadillac) then what do you have to offer?
Caddy has the engineers and materials but do they have the budget to bring to market a super low volume hyper car
Cadillac is making racing cars in the Hyper class, and holding their own and winning podiums.🤠
They announced but really they didnt and you didnt look into it. but your talkimg about it like you did.
How bout staying in your lane and that lane is garbage shitboxed American “luxury” cars.
They have a hypercar team in WEC and IMSA
A Cadillac super car would be rad
So what Cadillac is having a midlife crisis now
IMO Cadillac doesn’t have an image problem they have a quality problem
Cadillac new a whole new design for a super car, all the old designs are boring and ugly.
Too bad they aren't reliable.
This is just what they need, especially if they have a lot of murican cadillac personality. This and something somewhat cheaper that young people can actually afford (doesnt have to be poverty spec, but think m2) would really elevate the brand
Yeah they have a LMP car from FIA WEC, so honestly idk
I'm not an old person. I want Cadillac to go back to making big old floaty air ride rear wheel drive V8 powered leather clad luxury boats. I will never think of Cadillac as a sports car and neither does anyone else really. The best selling model is everything I described. on it has four wheel drive and is really a Tahoe…Think about it… People want real Cadillacs again. GM is just too dumb to see it and apparently so is Doug. His opinion on what Cadillac should be doing is out in left field compared to what is purchased.
I think it would be cool if Cadillac took the mid engine platform of the C8 corvette and made a modernized Cien, like the concept car from the 2000s.
As long as it toeans look like that photo and as long as it isn’t EV
big nose
I still need them to bring out that Elmiraj first or Epressive Coupe as it was later called. I would not be shocked if they did. However, it sucks with the good catalog of concepts the’ve shown throughout the past 2 decades, but never bought to the masses (full production)! If they’re gonna do it, they gotta stop making concepts, and make the dream cars they keep putting off to the shelves first!
No thanks lmao stupid little toy cars now adays
Nothing wrong with entering racing, nothing wrong with building a hypercar. Along the way improvements should be made in engineering and manufacturing processes on your mainstream vehicles. Put suppliers to the test and weed out bad parts. Engineer long term quality into every part and process. Design things like water pumps, fuel pumps, alternators that exceed warranty periods by 2-3x’s the minimum (example 50k mile warranty, part should be engineered to last 150k mile minimum). Make the premium brand produce a premium quality product!!
Old people have good taste in cars. I love a super comfortable and reliable Cadillac Buick Lincoln Lexus. You can get all of them with giant torquey motors too
Should have made the CIEN…
and they should! that would be awesome "just think about the Cadillac V-LMDh startup.
YANKS MAKING A SUPER CAR !!! REALLY WHAT A JOKE
That nose omg 😱 👃
GM trying to break into F1 is actually crazy. Nice to see some American brands starting to get involved.
Okay I know this won't get a ton of agreement, but we really need another XLR. The convertibles looked pretty sick too
Demuro knows nothing about cars it's cringey
Hahaha you Americans are funy
Not everyone should have a podcast
Don’t forget LeMans
They released a v16 car in mid/early 1900s, Shirley temple owned one.
I actually like this idea. We had a Camaro dominating in LeMans, so why not a Caddi in F1
They are making f1 engines in 2028. That was confirmed.
Doug, the son of an out east hedge fund manager; with all of the capabilities to do so, but started a YouTube channel about cars.
If I had the money and the need, the escalade would be my go-to car.
2013 Cadillac CTSV had 636 horsepower.
Cadillac ferromagnetic suspension is licensed by Ferrari
The 199 Cadillac XLR could turn donuts on a frozen lake without wiping out.
Modern car layout is due to Cadillac. You had to go Duesenberg to beat a 1935 Cadillac.
It will be a rocket ship with a leather luxury interior.
Cadillac has NO INTENTION of WALKING AWAY from Top Performance and Legendary Quality!!! They likely WON'T step on Chevrolet and try to DISPLACE the Corvette! They will SIMPLY do something DIFFERENT! EVEN for THEM!!!
Ok does anyone remember the XLRs? It was basically a Cadillac corvette, why couldn’t they just make another model like that and slap a 100k price tag for an ultra luxurious vette?
They already do
Let's go Caddy!!
GM doesn't make good cars apart from the corvette.
Cadillac is like mercedes for eu
They already did with their v12
hear me out:
– lamborghini doors
– …on the escalade.
We need Cadillac and Andretti Racing to F1.
These are the things Hoovie dreams of!!!!
Very fun and very very easy to steal
