Hello man i got a nvidia GPU as well but it isnt getting recognized by my system (got two GPUs AMD and NVIDIA only my AMD is getting recognized)
so ive tried to install the driver that u r using in this video but it isnt avilable in my store is it because i didnt check smt during the installation of ubuntu? also when i look into additional drivers theres only one thing there and its not related to nvidia can u pls help?
Hello. Hope you are doing well. I am using a virtual machine and when I click on the Additional Drivers there only 2 options. 1) Using open VMware tools for virtual machines hosted on VMware (GUI) form open-vm tools-desktop (open source) and 2) Do not use the device. Any suggestion to instal Nvidia driver? I am using a GEFORECE 4047. Thanks.
Matan,
If I don't see the card at all appearing on the Additional Drivers window, does it mean it wasn't recognised?
(I'm asking since I'm testing a possibly faulty or not properly connected card – in terms of power).
are you on an x11 or wayland session? How is nvidia's status on Wayland?
thanks i remember it was a letter "A" i forgot it was the blue one not the orange one lol.
Thanks, nice to see something straight forward for once. I am new to ubuntu, and it always seems like the operating system is trying to ruin my day.
Show! Muito obrigado 🎉
gracias amigo, solucionaste dos pajaros de un tiro.
What if I have GeForce GT 220M and distros newer than 20.04 don't support it?

Use x11 or xwayland ?
on legion legion with rtx 4070 this option working very poorly, the loading screen becomes super long (20 min) and you are lucky to boot OS.
Thanks! Very short and to the point!
I am currently running my laptop on windows-11 so Is there any way run linux virtual machine on the nvidia driver instead of the VMWare SVGA II Adapter?
