Creating a Linux Domain Controller using Debian 10 in VMware Workstation –No Commentary



Today we will be adventuring into the world of Linux Domain Controller and using Samba 4 to connect a Linux server to a Windows client. This video was created in VMware Workstation but can also be done in a live environment as well. I will show you step by step on how to install Samba Active Directory Domain Controller on Debian 10 in VMware Workstation/Player. I will also show you how to connect a Windows 10 OS to the domain and how to install RSAT tools to edit your domain from a Windows OS.

## NOTES for PowerShell ##

You have to run PowerShell as an administrator and type in the following for you to use the PowerShell script in the video:

Set-ExecutionPolicy -ExecutionPolicy RemoteSigned

and press A for (yes to all)
