will the scrambler 400x sit at 120kmph for the motorway? thanks!
Could there be a tiger 400 in the future?
LOL 😂
You missed out completely the Royal Enfield Hunter 350
Which costs nearly £2000 cheaper than one of these new Triumph 400 bike's,
And this New Triumph 400 is only 3 horse power More than a mid 1970s Honda CB400 Four at 37 Horse Power 👍
Which is food for thought?
Cheers Paul Foster 👍
Thanks for the review! Seems like Bajaj gets at least some credit for the build quality, no? While the RR isn't in an ugly location, it is under the seat where it gets no air flow (from what I've seen in one review that actually lifted the seat). This seems like a problem down the road. As for the short gearing – the can't be improved with a sprocket change, yes?
I've had the speed 400 for about 5 months now and have done upwards of 4000 kms on it. Loving every moment of it and it has been selling like hot cakes over here in India.
I'd be happy to share my opinions if anyone has any questions.
Pirelli tyres on some reviews here in UK don't know if there's much difference.
What would you choose for sporty dayli ride Triumph Speed 400 or Husqvarna Vitpilen 401, choosing between this two, thanks for any suggestions 😊
19 year old A2 riders the 400X is insane to insure. Cheapest quote £1.8k and thats 3rd party lol!
Just took a street 400 for a ride, unreal little 400. Handled very well, was comfortable and had plenty of go. Make an ideal town and second bike. Would love to see someone do a long trip on one as into 5th gear it went well too. Was a little vibey but nothing too wild, the handling made up for it. Priced very well. The only negative for me was the rear pegs were too close.
Yamaha SR400. You can still get them in Asia. Slightly tongue in cheek comment. I have a Mk2 390 Duke. I wouldn't buy any Triumph. Peppy performance because of the short gearing = buzzy on the highway.
Not here in Oz
husky 401?
What do you thing about the rust resistance? I live near the sea, the Royal Enfields are garbage for that.
You wouldn't see Yamaha bikes being built in India
Whats with this India production besides being cheap production wages what about qc
"The Gearing Is SHORT"! This is not the only channel that has declared these two bikes have short gearing. But not the only bikes either
Why do almost all manufacturers insist on putting too short gearing in mid to small displacement motorcycles. I guess it is to increase acceleration. The problem with this is that it decreases riding pleasure at cruising speed. Also causes slow speed instability while cornering as one needs to shift more often when turning through an intersection. It pisses me off that almost all mid to small displacement motorcycles need to have gearing upgrades to improve rideability and safety.
Is that weight correct. A street triple 765 RS has a listed weight of 165.5kg. If it's correct, it seems heavy for a single cylinder bike.
£5595 Scrambler X price UK (not £5995)
Looks like a bargain, bet they won't be this cheap next year, introductory price to kick RE in the nuts😮
Lovely review Toad 🐸 👍 very good bike for the class, class leading I thing for the money
Love the sound of that engine but the rest is MEH..
The fork is NOT a Showa product. It's made by Endurance and is excellent.
