Tbh sounding like disney music isnt a bad thing. Its the type of music that makes people happy, still better than sounding like any other mainstream music that has same beats, same flow, same themes, same melody and only 15-30 secs are listenable just good enough for tiktok videos.
It's giving Disneycore but I really enjoyed this debut tbh! Especially love harmonies in the 2nd part of each chorus ๐

Wait until you hear X.O Call Me where they are potentially signaling that they can go on mature concepts and more fitting genre to general public too. X.O Call Me i feel like the song that would sell to public esp in America but considering that they have a very young member given that sheโs at 13-14 range, GOTY is a good choice as their Title Track. Itโs cute, jyp-coded and it gives be delightful vibe which basically makes sense since they are VCHA or bicheuna~ or โto give lightโ ๐

I prefer XO Call ME than GOTY ๐ , oh ya I like you being nice with your opinion, i almost forget Vcha doesn't have a proper trainee period compare to kpop idol, so it's best not to put too much pressure on them,especially in their debut

I stayed up all night waiting for the debut to come out to watch it live firsthand and I wasn't disappointed. I've been listening to the title track and the bside all day long, it's so good. It gave me pitch perfect vibes. It was cute but still have a long way to goto do anymore slightly more mature concepts so I will have to expect kids/teen pop until then.
There's lots of different reactions to this song because it's obviously not aimed at ~everyone~ but I think what people don't talk about enough is just how crazy good all the girls' vocals are. Considering how young they are they can only get better and their sound will mature with them.
