Today I talk about the current state of gpu mining in 2024 and when we can expect profits to return! The stock market is also down its not just crypto which makes me think this is due to macroeconomic events as opposed to specific issues in the crypto market. We also discuss the recent ALPH…

  1. As much as I am a fan of crypto mining and still have around 40 GPUs, right now with prices as low as they are it is a time to buy not mine. For example, Coin "X" is a Kapow algo coin that I can put 2 rigs on to mine about 12,500 coins per month at a cost of $122 in electricity. If I turn the rigs off and just buy $122 of Coin X a month I net 17,000 coins. The math doesn't lie. When another GPU mineable crypto emerges from the pack and is profitable, the rigs go back on. The only exception to this practice is spec mining a new crypto. But you have be in there very early. By the time the YT videos come out about mining the new crypto, it is usually too late to make the big money.

  2. Even though I only mine with Nicehash as I don't really want to deal with exchanges that are not as common, after reaching $150 of value, which is like half a month of mining, not deducting the power cost yet, I switch that BTC to something I believe will do well/better in the bull run via kaspa, ada, shiba, poly and so forth and just leave it until then. That way I'm not stuck with just 1 coin heavily, but spread throughout. And if just 1 of that selected coins 10-20x then my system is already paid off.

  3. You are right, find a coin you believe in and yield farm it. For me that has been Flux. My farm is about your size 23 cards, mostly 3070's. I have been mining Flux since the merge and just keep spinning up Flux nodes when I mine enough coins. My node profits are almost to the point they are yielding as much as I mine each month.

  4. what about the taxing on mining that's been brought up recently? idk if u heard but there are multiple taxes possibly coming up/ might be voted in that would really screw miners over
