Did you the 2JZ used in the Mk4 Supra: Toyota hired a German engineer team to develop the 2JZ engine The Block and bottom end was based off an old school Mercedes inline 6 And the cylinder head was done by Yamaha. Also the chassis and suspension are very Toyota. Also Toyota engeering standards and quality were a huge factor in B58 new supra engine.Reply

I couldn't care less what platform it's on. It's better looking and drives better than a z4. The exterior is still designed by Toyota. You wouldn't call a mclaren f1 a Mercedes even though the engine and several other parts come from Mercedes.Reply
