How are you getting that much contamination? It’s crazy. I grow mine in rooms where I smoke and everything. No problems
Use clear lids and more light and it won't all be side pins. You'll get a full tub.
I saw something about how to avoid side pins. Pack the substrate just around the edges really tight so it will not be as likely to form side pins . Idk I saw a video 😂

You could keep the lids on if you having moisture problems I don’t plan on misting or fanning whatsoever that’s why I have humidifiers and ax infinity fan and hvac system in home

Does it matter whether you add a coco casing layer if the substrate already has coco in it?

How do you get a full.canopy
I think the casing layer was too dry. Or the surface at least or the humidity was too low. Mushrooms pinning on the side are trying to get all that condensation water.
What's the white fuzzy stuff on the base? Cause I think I got the same thing going on. Thx

What is the packet inside the jars? Is that to keep moisture out?
Fanning is unnecessary once lids are flipped of field capacity was right from the beginning

Just dried my FIRST flush ever (20 oz.), and much of the knowledge came from you and 90 Sec mycology! Thank you both! Also got 2 really great spore prints that I hope to use in the future. Cake was soaked and now we are going for flush #2 while a second bin is about to be harvested. Keep up the videos.
I've found that more misting produces more shrooms.

Appreciate the content you're putting out, just had to follow you on IG. Question for you, you prefer the shoebox style over using mono tubs? I have a similar setup to you with the tents and the stainless shelving, bought a few mono tubs and need more, but I'm currently debating the shoe boxes
The moisture was running down the sides making them wetter. That's why the sides pinned while the middle did not.
If you fan it and mist it twice a day is that a problem?

When they grow like this this means it’s too dry in the middle and the perfect micro climate is near the side where water is more likely to be at from running down the walls.
I’d just skip the casing layer after that 95% colonization happens just put it in fruiting

iv grown all my tubs with a casing layer at the time i put spawn to sub. this morning i had a tub of blue meanies full colonized and i put a casing layer on it. the worst case is im delayed a few days till first flush. best case il get a better harvest. love all these u tube vids.
