  1. I'm using a little N5105 box running proxmox with a HaOS VM and a PfSense VM. I checked the buffer-bloat site, and was getting 2300+ mbs down and 200 mbs up. Not bad for a 2.5 gig interface.

  2. I use OpenWRT as wifi, dns cache, DHCP, local router/switch for the low speed LAN. It's great to have a low power, cool, always available local service hub that stays up when re-configuring the NAS, proxmox, and WAN PfSense nodes. Since it's on the safe side of the real firewall, I never have to update or fuss with it, it just chugs along doing it's job perfectly.

  3. Hi Tom. My issue with everything becoming a web app is now I’m managing dozens and dozens of different pages in browsers that don’t seem to be up to the task. Do you have anything to manage all the different apps or sites you have to go through in a day

  4. "No big deal" that Truenas missed such a bssic check?

I was extremely disappointed when they admitted that their testing does not include descriptions on the network interfaces!

They fixed it fast, but ONLY because enough GAMMA testers found it right away!

  5. Hi Tom, I forgot to ask my question in the stream: In pfSense CE (2.7.2-RELEASE), the Kea DHCP is currently broken as it doesn't add DNS entries. Has this been fixed in the latest pfSense+ version? I'm hoping that it is. so the upcoming pfSense CE version will be fixed too.
