Forgot one important note for the sidestep: you can cancel the latter half of sidesteps into normal attacks. The first two frames are also not vulnerable, but you can block during those two frames regardless. It's yet another reason why sidestep is so strong in general. One of those things that I forgot about from playing the game enough that it meshed with everything else in my head. Thanks, PolarBair!
I forget which one it is, but there IS one of the game's built-in soft dip switches that just disables the flashing on supers entirely.

Glad to see this video, its filled with important information about not only how to play it but the Japanese scene.
This game almost always gets disregarded in the west as "that game in which the hitbox don't work" which is a real shame. The game is really broken but it is the Marvel of the series so to speak, very aggressive, fast, deadly and fun.
I personally prefer the control system of this game and samsho IV to the one in the first two games and V, as I can't get used to having to press two buttons at once for heavy attacks, lol
