What cpu temperatures are ok to run I switched 2 of my mining rig cpu's to zephyr and one is 40 the other shot up to 68 before I turned it off

I have very similar set up to what your trying to build, and I gotta say, it's been fun, the money that I profit from it justifies me running my gpu spec mining a new coin that way they carry each other. I wish I mined zeph I've been trying to hit solo blocks for fun because the cost is so cheap. and now their hashrate jumped too lol.
Mined since August same size setup Chumpchange had that he sold off to redpanda .. sold 110 coins put some in nexa and kaspa. Luckily I put in 2 days ago and got the uptick in nexa as well. If you can get 3900x jump on it you need two sticks ram for sure.. 6.5kh 5600x 8.5kh 5800x 13kh 5900x 3900x 12kh 12700k 8.5kh
This is why I never understood why mining motherboards weren't AM4.. I found one by ASRock but no availability.
Personally I will never buy another 3900x, 3950x is much better bc each core gets pretty much the same hashrate as each core on 3900x but it has 16 cores instead of only 12 therefore performs quite a bit better

The 3900x is an am4 socket… so my question would be, would using a less expensive mobo, like the asus prime A-320m-k be a hindrance other than possible room for the cooler? Asking cause i have one sitting in a box and i have a psu just sitting and possibly some ram too… cpu and cooler i think are all i need… i understand your still learning this stuff as well but thought id ask.
THM did you not build a Dell CPU rig .. you can use it ..with the upgrades you did you can get like 7-8Kh on Zeph with it .. I have been mining Zeph since they launched I mined over 922 Zeph as of today.
i have 10 3900x on it and im creaming it in but if you can i would go 7900x , also you dont need the best motherboards go cheap as you can i get the same hashrate out of a a320 asrocks to all the best ones there no difference in hash once there setup properly , so go cheap board asrock usualy cheap and to be honest there good i get no diff like i said. but get really low CL ram go 3200 CL14
