AMD is finally releasing new Threadripper CPUs, and they are absolutely bonkers. Should you buy one? If you have to ask…

Could you pop this in to your compensator build?
Monster process
People actually complain about rebooting….wow
It’s built for studios where every designer at the studio has a different client
Please try F@H on this processor to see what results it gives you in fighting diseases. It is an application that uses all cores.
Great CPU and platform for multi GPU workstation.
The overselling kills me
I occasionally do 3D-arch-viz as a side hustle to my full time employement at an architecture firm. i make ~25k net from that side hustle…which is not enough to justify a 5000$ cpu, allthough i'm tempted. currently on the 5950X. the 7980X has almost 4x the multi-core performance in v-ray, so it's very exciting to look at.
WOW this is bad ass!.
i want linus to show up to my house and redo my clothes with ltt merch. a series called "linus pimps out a wardrobe". he shows up to random fans houses and gives out merch since they spent all their money on computer parts. the more pc parts you buy the more ltt merch you get.
Está de volta e estou MUITO animado! – Estripador de linha 7000
These CPUs are just wow. 😉
we need Anthony/Now Emily we need Him/Her back she is the best tech genius we all miss Your Genius Tech trouble shooting skills and everything else
hey guys in the thermals comparision with lower end cpus you highlighted the new threadrippers with a yellow filter which turned their colors into ones identical to the other cpus you compared to
You have no facts to add to this, you just regurgitate what the manufacture has sent out. Scam video
Same old same old videos. Seems like nothing has changed
They need to make an X3D version of Thrradripper like Epyc got
I run an engineering simulation business and I am looking forward to spending money on several of these for workhorse compute. AMD, take my money.
Finally
Was at an a construction technology expo autodesk 2023 they had systems with hardware like this
Watching those render speeds gives me hope…
You should add a game dev benchmark to your suite. Indie game dev is so big these days and I guarantee you those cores will make a BIG difference when running UE with a dozen gigs of assets loaded. But if all the reviews only mention game and blender benchmarks, game devs watching will be left in the dark.
omg 5k cpu imagine only if he dropped that
60 fps city skylines unlocked
Bring back Chilling Threadripper!!
when 3dx on Tr4x: kkk:
There is something very wrong with the portuguese translation title of the video. The threadripper wss translated to "estripador de linha", in portuguese it sound's very bad, really!
Would love to see a video doing a before-and-after comparison on your own video rendering servers! Does it actually make a difference to your video editor's workflow? For the video, would obviously get a build out of it, a chaotic deployment with Jake out of it, as well as some interesting real-world data out of it. Oh, and not forgetting Janky Overkill Cooling with Alex and Kyle out of it too! The possibilities are endless!
Can it run GTA6?
Make an ltt pc case
Well, I was burned with the previous Threadripper 1920X that was instantly discontinued! I thought I was getting a deal, with the plan to upgrade from a 24 thread to 64 thread cpu!
But very quickly I realized the painful truth! The main question, do I trust AMD to not screw customers over again!
🖕AMD for only supporting trx40 for one generation. Never buying AMD HEDT again.
I'm not sure I believe the results of this test. It is LTT after all.
I'm a gamer, but videos like this remind me just how small a part of computing gaming actually is. This is just mind blowing computing power…and this is only at the HEDT level
