Not sure if you'll respond or not but everytime I open the server, it re-writes the server.cfg. I even tried making it read-only but since it replaces the server.cfg everytime I open the server, I was wondering why that happens and how do I fix it?

Extremely frustrating. I followed step by step but every time verifying install finishes the CMD closes due to the +quit, and never runs the server. No idea how anyone could complete this tutorial. Sad.

Hello, so I followed video / guide you forgot to finish editing the server.cfg file mentioned at 8:50 of the video. Also, my server says 64 Players, how to change that? Thanks, On a side note, i launched the game and the bot doesn't move. What am I missing?
How do i update my server? keeps on saying "client out of date" i tried +app_update 740 validate and +app_update 730 validate and im still getting the client out of date pop up, am i doing something wrong? never had issues with my csgo dedicated server, i used to have a automatic batch update file but i forgot how to do it.
For some reason start.bat does not allow me to download cs2 files. It simply says "cs2.exe" cannot be found.
i did everything, port forward and firewall.. setup server with steamcmd. yet my friends still cant join. :c any fixes people can think of ?
I just wanted to say thank you so much because i tried legit every reddit tutorial i could find and several youtube ones, they were all half assed and skipped a lot of steps that you didn't. you even made us use an auto update script every time we open the server which is really neat. I can finally play CS2 with my friends. Thank you again! <3

Hey, i Need your help! I hosted a Server on a Site and i want to make it 6v6 competitive. I dont know how.. there is no gamemode_server.cfg just for each gamemode…what can i do? I dont even have rights in Game for Commander 🙁

the server is working and all that but my friends cannot connect. it is either "unable to establish a connection with the gameserver" or "server is restricted to lan games only"

so let me get this straight. you need a separate steam account with a csgo subscription to have a dedicated csgo server ? I cant get a code because steam says my account is limited and only way to change that is to spend 5$. Tried it with a code from my main account and it says "no subscription" so it wont install on the dedicated server. this is ass cheeks.

You can use +login anonymous instead of user and password.
