  1. Here is a list of FAQ's and Helpful comments that will help you troubleshoot:

1.) The file you need to edit is the INI file. It is deeper in the folder.
2.) Am I able to bring over my save data files from an official public NA server and copy those files onto my own dedicated server so that I can essentially have an exact copy of my progress from an official server? NO. this could added later.
3.) Does the computer have to be running for server to work. YES, it has to be on at all times.
4.) The IP address I am mentioning in the video is the EXTERNAL IP. NOT the local IP. I mispoke in a part of the video. (My bad)
5.) Port forwarding is CRITICAL for this to work. Make sure you are following your ISP's directions exactly.
6.) How do I find my server in the server list. As stated in the video, this should work BUT for some reason it took mine like 2 hours to even show up in search. I would recommend that you just give them the PUBLIC IP you inserted and have them join directly.

  2. The part where you type ipconfig to get your IP address is wrong. The way to get your public IP address is by typing in Google "what is my IP" and it will show you your PUBLIC IP address the provider has given you. That's the one you should put in the file and that's the one you should share with your friends. The IP that is being returned from ipconfig is your LOCAL (internal) IP address, it's only for your PC and has absolutely no meaning for anyone outside of your network.

  3. Great video thank you dude, I would make a quick change and update the IP address wording as you've said your IP and not public IP.. and that you need to update the server ini file. – copy and paste from the local file to the server file
and for some reason, I cant find a way to input a password?

  4. My friends can't connect to my server no matter what i do. I restarted the computer, i restarted the internet, i have quintuple checked that the ports are open and correct. I am able to connect and it seems to show and reperesent all of the server settings i set, but nobody else can connect.

  5. Has anyone confirmed this works? The guide has you entering your LAN private IP address inside quotes asking for a public IP. I can't wrap my head around that working, you should need your actual public IP address and the port you used for the port forwarding. Just google "how to find my public IP address".

I don't know that I want to open a port on my router for Palworld so I can't confirm myself but figured I'd put in my 2 cents in case this is not working for you.

  6. hello so i was following the guide but for some reason it wasnt letting me use the admin password to gain access how am i able to fix this if there isnt how do i recent and make a new server

  7. Everything is fine, but I have a question. Will it kick other players out of the game as soon as I close the "Dedicated server app"? Or can my friends join this server and play while I'm away?

  8. hi! thanks for going through all this , the video is very intuitive and looks easy enough to set up.

but the quest i have is if even with a dedicated server. my pc has to be running the dedicated server in order for my friends to join ? meaning the pc has to be running to begin with

meaning if i were to have 3 other friends , i would be better off playing Peer to Peer multiplayer where i provide the code whenever i online compared to setting up a whole dedicated server in which i have to be online also for them to play
