This week on Create, we set up a factory to transform sand into gold and quartz!
How you might ask?
Through the magic of haunting and washing, two processes using Create’s amazing fans!
We’ll also make a control panel to shut the farm down if it gets full, and an epic Victorian style factory around it!

The Minecraft Create mod might just be the mod of my dreams – you’re seriously telling me that not only has someone shifted the entire medieval aesthetic of Minecraft into more of that of my beloved Steampunk, but there’s dozens of moving parts that not only can give my builds more life, they also give you new ways to produce most the resources in the game?

Yeah, you better count me in!

We’re going to be spending 100 IRL Days learning how to use Create to the fullest, building an entire industrial seaport with our friends and weaving train lines across the countryside!

The 100…

  1. every time sloy ads another boiler, i think of those power strips with another power strip plugged in so theres like 15 things plugged into one outlet.
if not for the bemusing mechanics of minecraft, this factory would be one big fire hazard😂

  2. One super tiny mini-addition idea: Move the lamps on your NAND-gate 1 block up, so the redstone torches control the redstone lamps. It makes more sense to me that the light is on if the factory is actively producing that component.

Anyway loving the series! Looking forward to more of your vids ^^

  3. Hey Zloy, In normal create (because im not sure what pack you're using)
    10:03 around here.
There's 2 types of Item Filters so you can simplify the soul sand processing.
Just right click the filter, insert the item (even works from the JEI/REI item lists on the right) and click Deny or Allow and that should be it. There's another type of filter that filters based on attributes (Can be washed, can be crushed, is from Minecraft/Create, basically stuff like this) so can also set an attribute filter to Can be washed, Deny and that would also work!

If you dont want to do that you can just split the soul sand before washing them and add another washer.
    Hope this helps!

  4. Zloy, you should look up what other amazing things are coming to Create. Other add-on mods like Steam and Rails still being updated, but also add-ons like “Off-Road”, “High Seas”, “Lift-Off”, and “Aeronautics” all utilizing new physics engines. I swear this mod and it’s add-ons are revolutionizing Minecraft.

  5. I don't know if it's available in the pack you're using, but there are simple and complex filters in create, which can be use to allow/deny either items enumeration, or by an attribute. That might make your soul sand washing area a bit cleaner (simple filter -> soul sand -> deny).
Additionally, in one of the create packs I had, you could wash red-sand to get gold with a greater return than as a quartz by product. It went something like: cobblestone -> gravel -> sand -> clay balls -> compacting (clay blocks) -> smelting (terracota) -> crushing wheel (red sand) -> washing (gold). If that's in yours, it's a fun factory contraption.
