How do we get there?
Today on Create, we’re going to be building an elevator using gantries. Not only does this baby go up and down, but the doors automatically close and open, and we can even call the elevator from either floor!
Sound complicated? It kinda was – so let me show you how!

3:22 as of this point i am very much wondering, why not use the elevator pulley? it is intended for this purpose- pretty sure it’s in that version of create

Hello Fellow Humans,
Why are you bot using the elevator to make an elevator in Create? The piston seems like a mich harder way to do something. You do realize you have an elevator and contriller you can make floors and go up and down very easily? You must know and you want to make things harder or more unique. The door system can be done with the elevator system in Create FYI. Foxynotail did it already for his library he made. You have massively over complicated this entire system.
You have andersite doors, redstone connectors, elevator pulley and elevator controller. You can even name your floors. This video must be a way to mak an elevator without any elevator parts provided by create.
I know for a fact that I would never be able to make such a difficult and uneven building look so good. This is why I respect your craftiness so much.
To be fair, as a native English speaker, I know I've heard of gantries and gantry shafts a few times, but I never stopped to learn what precisely the word means. The elevator is so cool and cute I love the style of the whole town!!

Dont know if you have the latest version of create (0.5.1) but it has elevator pulleys that make elevators so easy to make. If you can, please try to update
