One common interpretation I’ve seen about the Puppet or Marionette animatronic in the Five Nights at Freddy franchise is that it was created in response to the death of William Afton’s son, the Crying Child, in FNAF 4. However, based on the actual functions of the Puppet that we see in Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria Simulator, I find a different answer much more likely.

  1. "But what about after the Missing Children Incident?" you may ask? Well, for the reasons I go over in the Short's related video, I find it much more likely that Charlie did die before the MCI victims. The death order proposed as of recently I find more likely to actually be the order of willingness to move on, or something similar.
But what do you guys think?

  2. I think the Puppet guarded all kids with bracelets (who received them lioe when you take a child to a fair or amusement park) but Charlie was given the only green bracelet because as his daughter Henry would want her to be given top priority.

  3. I always took the fact that the other children have bracelets of different colors to mean it's a urgency matrix, with green shutting down whatever checks the pupoet would be making to bring the kid inside ASAP

  4. I don’t get people’s confusion about who was first. We’ve KNOWN Charlie was the first since Scott confirmed MatPat’s FNaF 2 theory in 2014. Puppet being the first death is basically a cornerstone to that theory and him getting “almost everything correct” means it it has to be proven a retcon which need way more evidence than I’ve seen anyone have

  5. Okay, I need to know your thoughts on this theory that's been driving me crazy. It's about Sun and Moon. They're lovely characters but also odd in perspective of the rest of the pizza plex. Their models are very different from the others, moon has extra theming in parts and services, and they have parts matching the mimic with teeth and eyes but nothing else. But the thing I want to focus on is Jack-o-moon and "Annular" referring to the eclipse in balloon world and on the ceiling of the VR world in Sun and Moon's room, and I named them Annular after an annular eclipse. The two of them are completely opposites to each other in design. At first I thought Jack-o-moon was a funny reference to the old Halloween dlc in FNAF 4, but then we also have characters like Dreadbear coming back and both of them are in this weird fair ground location. And Annular has connections to VR, and have you noticed there's a balloon world arcade cabinet in the basement with Afton?? There was a message in sb "the arcades are working together" I know it was refreshing to princess quest but what if it's the same principle? The way Annular's mouth is sewn closed, it's like their forced to keep a secret. Meanwhile Jack-o-moon's mouth is extra wide open. And both moon and Jack-o-moon say the line "what makes you so special?" In help wanted 2 the only other ones to ask that are animatronics who recognized something strange is going on. Of all the animatronics, why them? AND We see moon in the second ending. Why them?? Out of anyone, it was them. What do they know, what are they hiding, and how old are they really???? And ironically, out of all of them it feels like sun is in the dark about all of this and whatever information is being hidden.. Sorry, I have a lot more evidence but I'm trying to keep it short. Thank you for all your amazing videos!!

  6. I'll help with this, We don't know the true reason it was created. I think its less about keeping the kids inside and more about searching for signs of distress from the kids. Increased Heart Rates, irregular breathing etc. The bracelets are of a similar nature to the ones we have know that checks your pulse and blood pressure.

And Charlie at this time was clearly distressed. Maybe it was programmed to leave the box to go comfort the child if there was no response from the security office. As in no threat the guard saw.

It could also have been programmed to keep the guests within valid perimeters. i.e. the dining areas but not areas like the stage or outside the restaurant.

Something else, when did Charlie die? People claim that she died at he FNAF 2 location but that wouldn't make much sense as the puppet is fine as of then. I think she died in Fredbear's in the weeks following the bite. Perhaps the restaurant didn't close right away and grew less and less popular as the bite was bad publicity. And an already mourning angry Afton hated seeing the restaurant still running after his son's death, killed Charlie to have Henry feel what he felt loosing a child.

  7. Most assume the puppet was made to protect kids because of the missing children's incident, and once the puppet was possessed it gave a piece of its remnant to each child in their animatronic suits- Awakening them as well.
Not as a response to the bite of 83' but the missing children's incident.
    This makes much more sense.
The only part of the series that says Charlie was the first was the books, which dont match the games 1 to 1. In the games we know chica/suzy was the first, and the puppet was likely the 6th.

  8. Yeah, it makes sense with his design. Those long and slim limbs wouldn't work very well for protecting, but rather to reach out long distances (Even across tiny spaces) to bring in someone.

  9. I’ve always assumed this was the Puppet’s purpose— very happy to see someone else agree!

It just makes sense for Henry to have built an animatronic that could act as a babysitter when he himself had a child running around and no time to watch her. Very interesting design choice though— I feel like most young kids would be terrified of that thing lmaoo

  10. agree, but, about the fnaf 4 bite incident, do you have any opinion or hypothisis that adresses the fact that an animatronic bear springlock or not would not in any world have the strength in its mouth enough to crush a human skull? matpat adressed this in a theory he scrapped after doing it because of the pizzaplex books

  11. Since Charlie is the first victim, that would mean that the puppet was one of Henry's first robots for security in Freddy's pizzeria. So, would that make the FNAF 2 location the place where Charlie died outside of or did the puppet get reused in a different location? Either way, it's sad to realize that Charlie and the crying child were basically bullied before their death

Also, my previous comment was for a different video but somehow made it to here which makes me wonder where my original comment for this one went to. This happens a lot especially when I do it on my phone and I don't know why, YT is broken.

  12. Further solidifies my theory that the Daycare Attendant's endoskeleton is based on & heavily inspired by the Puppet's endoskeleton. Heck, they might as well have the same endo, besides the heads!
