Don`t even consider a gun with a hook on it, there is a video on you tube and he is doing a revue of a snubbie, pulled it from under his shirt and you can see it trying to snag on the shit, he ignored it, if it did snag in a real life attack he would get beat up or worse, nix an exposed hammer. its not a target shooting type pistol.

  7. 3:27 The S&W 642 does NOT allow you to cock the hammer for more accurate single action shots. It is double action only. The 638 allows snag-free operation AND single action operation. I carry a 638 as a backup to my Ruger LCRx 327 Federal Magnum.
