  1. I'm a retired officer and I was involved in a deadly force situation and you really don't use any sights in the moment . It happens so quickly you just point and shoot. If you have time and distance I can see potentially a red dot could help.

  2. Bro, Clint, you need to spend more time training your body than shooting. I mean this respectfully only because if you want to be in it to win it, that’s lacking.

  3. I don't EDC a light or an RMR. Although I do have a quick detach light that I can use and have with my carry weapon, it typically stays on my gun that goes into my bedside holster. I have put that light on my carry weapon once or twice when we were carrying at night. I have the option. I also have a flashlight in my car and in my backpack that I have trained with. A hand light. I will never have an RMR on anything but my IPDA pistol. Plain, Simple.

  4. Red dot for home defense, irons for conceal carry. As a wise man one said. “If you’re shooting someone at a distance that actually benefits from a red dot you better have a good lawyer.”

  5. Shot my cwp glock 48 for a few hours with iron sights and then my instructor gave me his glock 19 with a red dot sight. Shots were faster, more accurate, and i could follow up faster as well. I am of the belief that red dot sights are a better sight.

  6. So i have another use case for the red dot. I live in NJ which has some crazy qualification standards for CCP. 1 you need to qual with the gun you will be carrying, 2 you need to score even at 25yrds. So even if you dont need the red dot in a real defensive situation it certainly will help hit a target while being timed 25 yards away with a small micro compact.

  7. You don't need an optic for a concealed carry gun. I regret buying mine. But for competition or shooting for fun or maybe at home defense then yes optic is good.

  8. I know this is a video and a bit staged as a debate. But the sig p365 also comes with an SAS variant that has an inlay sight that eliminates iron sights and red dot. (Interesting combination if you haven't checked it out)

She could have that displayed instead of the rose is all.

  9. Your concealed carry should be as lean as possible… And in a real life scenario you are not aiming and shooting but rather pointing and shooting. No red dot
