“Auto Buyers Guide | Alex on Autos”
Much like Henrik Fisker’s first company, Fisker 2.0 started with such promise. The design is solidly attractive, the dedication to recycled and recyclable materials is admirable, the 0-60 times are as good as any. Sadly however today’s Fisker is a brand teetering on the edge of bankruptcy and I…

Darn it, on the overlay the gross/usable specs are swapped. Sorry about that.
Excellent review, very well done!
At 1:27 in the video, when the lights go off, the wipers move! 😮
Is that a bug or a feature?
This is making Vinfast look like a more attractive option.
Fisker cant be acquired… because they dont make anything… They outsource everything.. .. what would exactly would they be acquiring… Unsellable inventory and a project manager who burns thru cash … No thanks …
Why do people like solar panel car roofs so much?100 miles over 5 months = 240 miles over a year, which is ~240*0.30/3=$24 per year of savings assuming 30 cents per kwt for electricity (a lot of states have it cheaper, so the number would only go down), and assuming 3miles per kwt efficiency. It's gonna take a REALLY long time to pay off for that sunroof panel..Or, if someone drives 15k miles per year, it's only 240/15000*100=1.6 1.6%efficiency gain (in reality a little less because this would also add a little extra weight) I get the fact that this is kinda cool (although it blocks visibility from inside comparing to regular sunroof), but practically I don't see it being viable any time soon.
What is the hood used for if it's not used for storage?
Another useless EV.
In this company bankrupt and about to be extinct. Good luck on getting service
I have replaced the 12V battery in just about every car I have owned, at least 5 different cars. I always replaced it myself. I never had to have a dealer recalibrate anything, nor have any features stopped working just because it was not recalibrated. The worst thing was having to reset the clock.
Alex here trying to save the dead horse, it ain’t gonna drink water Alex, it’s dead.
Great, honest, "to the point" review. I love my ONE, but yes, it has bugs.
It’s an amazing looking suv. Interior looks amazing and now the prices are competitive with everybody else. Sounds like the software still needs some tweaks, but common with a ground up system. I think Fisher‘s biggest problem was advertisement. probably 90% of the people never heard of Fisker ocean. I’ve rarely seen advertisement.
I absolutely love driving my Ocean One. It’s a unique car and still makes me smile. 85 degrees in NC and Cali mode is so fun!
The CEO’s wife was in charge of the technology part. I’m seeing a divorce in his future
MkB said this car is trash and hes not responsible for the stock cratering to .02 The 250k investors beg to differ. We’re in an environment where influencers hold more power than celebrities and politicians. Power to the people apparently
If Fisker doesn't find a financial backer in the Middle East the way Lucid Motor did then it will be sad to see it go away.
However the real life has its adjustments.
History has shown that hundreds of very unique and promising car manufacturers went extincts in the beginning of XXth century and some of them were plagued with problems in the USA until the 70-80ties when the last traditional automaker AMC got bought by Chrysler.
In the EV transition the fight for survival is reviving those old long gone days of carmakers' consolidation, buyout, bunkrupcy.
This and Vinfast, wouldn’t touch with a 10’ pole let alone wish one on my worst enemy. Reliability and wondering if the brand will be around to fix said reliability just isn’t worth risking when we’re talking this price point.
First time watching the channel, very well and immaculately done. Got a new fan. Thank you for your detailed review.
Henrik Fisker is a designer, not an engineer. But in the EV market, you need something that clearly sets you apart from the competition if you are a newcomer. I don't think your suggestion to leave this and that out of the first version is a good idea, because then the Ocean becomes a pure "me too" car, which it almost is anyway. The Ocean has no real USP, such as an extremely attractive price, ultra range, a new manufacturing concept, a new interior concept, innovative infotainment, unbeatable efficiency, a new engine concept or whatever. And even the design is reminiscent of Range Rover and others. It doesn't do anything really well and thus, it won't fly.
So this definitely reinforces the notion that anybody can make a car. It's half baked and is a nice try but too many quirky things that just make it uncompetitive.
Sorry you lost me at Jaguar acquiring it. It looks nothing like a jaguar so you can stop making that reference. But seriously jaguar just spent a shit load of money developing a platform for several of their vehicles as well as Land Rover, and More and you’re just gonna randomly buy some struggling company? That makes no sense whatsoever.
This is the “so much better 2.0 update” that I’ve seen so many people talk about?? 🥴🥴🥴
I thought this software in the video was absolutely abhorrent and when you showed it as being the 2.0 “update” my jaw dropped! WHY IN THE WORLD would an already bankrupt, struggling company try to launch a car..AGAIN.. without making sure everything is as flawless as it can be?!?! They absolutely DESERVE to go bankrupt since it seems they can’t learn from their previous mistakes. Jfc.
Alex you can't unring this bell
