  1. I saw an article the other day saying star citizen had hit a new major milestone on funding with no release date in sight, and it got me curious on game dev costs in general. You know what games are up there in similar cost to Star Citizen? In no particular order, Genshin Impact, Cyberpunk 2077, and… Monopoly Go.

  2. I do cringe over your ore selection- getting excited over Gold and saying Taranite "Isnt that bad"- Tara/Bexie is worth more than Gold- and is easier to break and fills you up faster…
But that cringe is my personal feelings

Edit: I'm not offended by you filling up on Titanium- as long as after the fact you're not complaining on not making as much as salvage. Too many people I've interacted with complain that they load up on the Commons and don't make much money- and give up on mining….

  3. In 3.21 and 3.22 I've tried both mining (Prospector) and salvaging (Vulture), but personally I find mining with my Prospector just much more FUN to do. The searching for ore containing rocks, the scanning, the excitement when you find good stuff in a rock that is small enough to break, the extracting of the goods and returning home with the bags full with a decent percentage of good ores. Then going to the Refinery and sending in the ores for refinement, to collect them after they've finished, and finally selling the refined ores at a TDD or CBD. It's a really nice game loop and personally for me, much more fulfilling than salvaging in the Vulture.

  4. V from YouTube channel #spaceshorts did a video on using mole bags on the prospector. It’s a quick and easy upgrade to give the prospector a bit more storage.
I love the nice relaxing gameplay videos!

  5. Been really looking forward to the mining aspect of the game, have only been playing for 5 days now so still grinding to get the prospector, but good to see how it can also work in a chill setting while not always stressing about getting the best 🙂 Keep up the good vids man!

  6. Always great to see the chill mining experience being enjoyed. Even better when narrated so expertly.

If I may give a tip, to find Lagrange stations om the starmap. Select the main L-point and then type "station" into the search bar. Usually much faster than trying to manually find it among all the other location markers.

  7. The reason why the Prospector is more comfortable to use than the Mole is because of all these annoying animations where the game takes away control from the player character for several seconds each time, multiplied by xx to xxx times per play session. It's one of the great gameplay flaws of Star Citizen and CiG has not understood this flaw yet. Taking away player control (ESPECIALLY in an MMO) = bad! And it's done very often in SC: get in/out of a seat, climb in/out of a fighter, climb up/down a ladder etc.

  8. Thanks for the video, I am more like you Farrister… I mean I mine and actually play SC for low stress so I am not about the max profits. I try to be efficient but not at cost of enjoyment… cheers mate!

  9. First of, thanks alot for your relaxing videos. Keep it up!

Alot of ppl will value the uec/hour above gameplay and therefor prefer to molo (solo in the mole) or are salvaging currently.

For me the gameloops tied to mining are very pleasing to do and i will come back to it no matter what.

You will start to see ppl come back to it when the mining missions will be released and there will be more profit in it.

  10. After you’ve made your money salvaging you can lay back and do relaxing mining 😊 roc mining is hella fun when you don’t blow yourself up 😂

  11. haven't tried ship mining in years because every time i tried i had really bad luck in either finding no good rocks or finding ones that where uncrackable with a rented stock version.
now hand mining I do like to bad caves are such a pain to deal with.

  12. I personally like to do semi mid maxing while mining, but I totally get how some people just wanna break stuff and leave. However, if you pack a chainsaw, I don't think it will be very effective against the rocks you mine.

  13. Great video. Thanks. I find that I can make more gem mining, than prospector mining, especially if I go for Hadanite, with maybe some dolivine. Thoughts?

  14. Pro tip: run your mining head at 100% and use the gimbal function to "feather" it on and off the rock your trying to bust when it gets into the green zone. To adjust effective power applied simply back off. You can actually bust gem rocks intended for hand or roc mining with the prospector at close to max distance and 1% power, again feathering off and on.

  15. Ok, now I'm jealous. I've been trying for a couple days to have one of these chill gaming sessions, but whatever they did to the scanning mechanic, nothing appears on my pings. And if I'm lucky after 30 or so minutes and get an "unknown" off in the distance, when I hit the ping again, it vanishes, never to return. I spent 1.5 hours last night searching multiple moons and found not a single thing to mine. I tried gem mining with my Roc and Freelancer, and still nothing pinged. Though if I got in my Roc, I can ping gems and rocks. Second I'm back in my ship, pings are gone.
