  1. 4:48. Speaking of the "zoomer Bible", i once found a tie dye cover "Hippie Bible" at a used book store, from 1970-something, written by "two brothers from Berkeley" titled "Letters to Street Christians". It was the Epistles translated into hippie slang, example, "Jesus is far out! Ya dig?" 🤦

  2. 1:25:47 Much love and respect, but I don't agree. Jordan Peterson was the first person I encountered that spoke to me and took christianity seriously, at least in his own way. I don't really listen to him anymore, certainly, but he was as Andrew said "the on-ramp."

  3. We pray for you all as we enter the Lenten season. Truly a blessing to hear your wisdom and love for all our souls no matter our present (temporal) proximity from the fullness of our faith and the reality of Christ our God.

  4. Rizz is short for charisma, coming form a first wave gen Z myself (22). the face is referred to as 'sigma face' or 'mogging'. These are still newer so the archetypal ''zoomer'' lingo is slightly younger kids than me, so some of these terms I either like and was 'present' when they emerged, or I have hated them from the start. No in between.

  5. I think Peterson’s project is needed to deconstruct a lot of modernist notions of materialism, which allows a lot of people to have the…something (not sure what) to explore the first few steps of the possibility to believe in any sort of God. Because he comes from the perspective of materialism, materialists can trust him to take them along the path towards faith. True he’s not there. But as Fr turbo pointed out, his whole schtick is fighting and deconstruction, which might be why it takes him longer to get to faith, because his materialist foundation is so huge. Like a lot of things in the church, maybe it’s both/and.
