Everyone says that the Nascar looks different and sounds different, but it still has this chunky sound. I guess this sound is the reason why I still can't get used to FE.

This sounds awesome, because unlike 99 % of all the other cars that hum as they go along, this one roars and growls, it sounds like a proper engine, not like a munk 🙂
There was only one car that looked like a car and sounded like a car. Everything else looked like creatures.
I found it incredible that the team bet on Goodyear tires specially designed for this experiment rather than the prevailing Michelins and Pirellis. This was also a test bed for Goodyear.

Now imagine being at a race and listening… no feeling…. 40 of them drive by. Also imagine getting up to go take a piss during the race, walking down the stands closer to the track to get to the entrance that takes you behind the stands…. and forgetting to protect your ears. You feel a kind of pain I have never felt since, bones in your ear rattle that you don't know you have. They also cut down the max RPM to ensure engine life… so they'll scream pretty high at a cup event.

They did have a problem with the gear box but the engine held up fine. Since they had no restrictions they swapped out the gear box and was able to finish the race. Very impressive for such a grueling race.
I wish Dale was here to see this.

That amazing V8 was such a unique and refreshing sound compared to the others, and don't get me wrong, the other cars sounded great, but that V8 was the best
