  1. I'm not very well, so not doing swell. I'm in pain because of a migraine, but thanks anyway😉Can't wait for Plasma 6. Been using Wayland on KDE Neon for a couple of weeks now and it has been running smooth.

  2. I've just permanently swapped off Windows in about a month ago. AI and C++ made it a "must have" for double boot(F*ck WSL). Then I realized that Linux has pretty much everything else I needed(3D modelling, Arduino, VR, RTX, Proton gaming for 99.9% titles).
The last time I've used Win10 installation is to reprogramm my new mouse(Wine installation didn't see the mouse), and that was pretty much it. I wish VMs could have an effective passthrough so I wouldn't even have to double boot.

I've become aware of Linux's new state as a decent OS for gaming as I was browsing through Steam OS/Steam Deck info.

  3. At some point devs have to take responsibility, wayland has been announced for more then 10 years ago, and started getting used in gnome and kde 5 years ago, if you can't port your applications it's on you.

  4. I just wish more distros had the blivet integrated into their installers. I keep wanting to try some of these like Zorin or OpenSUSE but can't bc it won't let me mount my home and games partitions how I want 😅

  5. Zorin OS is such a polished distro but i'm upset that they release the 17 with an outdated kernel. I'd much prefer the new Zorin with at least kernel 6.5, with some performance optimisations.

  6. Overall Linux Desktop marketshare is over 3% now, which is unprecedented, AFAIK. We're growing, guys!
Windows is at under 70%. It's kinda insane when you consider how they used to be at over 90% just a decade ago.
