Watching this episode you realise that Asmodeus (at least of all the deadly sins we’ve seen so far) is probably the kindest.
He didn’t kick moxxie out straight away for singing a love song in a strictly lustful lounge and even tried to kindly (with a little teasing but still) redirect him and even give an example of what he could sing, giving him a second chance.
And then moxxie ignored him and Millie injured his employee, like Asmodeus could’ve killed them with a snap of his fingers for that if he wanted to but instead just kicked them out AAAAND LET MOXXIE FINISH HIS SONG FIRST.
Ozzie is a pretty chill guy man
This is indeed the actual REAL fizz in this episode, I’d explain why he seems robotic but I don’t wanna spoil anything- just know it’s covered in season 2 <3
Oh my god I swear you are the BEST reactor I’ve EVER seen! Im always absolutely terrified to see people react to this episode because so many people just rip on Blitz and don’t have the slightest understanding of his character, but you see him perfectly and it makes me so damn happy!
Episodes 7/8 were meant to be one long finale but due to copyright/contract issues with SPOILERS: Kesha it was split and released nearly a year apart.
I’m excited that you get to see the episodes in order and you are going to get the backstory soon enough!
I feel so sorry for stolas 😢 blitz doesn't think he deserves love 😢
I remember the first time I watched this I got so mad at Stolas because he seemed to be embarrassed that he was seen with Blitz. I was just as upset as Blitz really. Watching it again, makes me wonder if Stolas was more just ashamed he wasn't following the rules cuz Ozzy himself has to live up to Hell's facade and has more comand than the Ars Goetia. Its a feeling layered episode tho and I still very much want these two to find happy hellish after T-T
Eppisode 8 was supposed to be the original end of season, but got delayed due to having to work out legal complications regarding Kesha voicing Beelzebub. Ultimately she ended up voicing the spoken parts only, and they brought in someone else (a sound alike) to sing the Beelzebub's song.
each of the seven rings of hell is ruled by a primordial sin demon. asmodous being lust and lucifer being pride.they are the physical manifestation of the sin. they are also the defacto ruler of that ring and manage avarything inside it.
That is the original Fizzarolli, you're right! He whirrs because his arms and legs are robotic prosthetics, but the rest of him is organic.

My theory for why the ring stations look so angelic is because they were created by Heaven to seperate the demons in Hell and create factions with rings in hopes that it would cause them to have conflicts with each other and leave Heaven alone. It would make each ring want to feel superior to the last and compete.

Asmodeus in the source material Viv used is supposed to have 3 heads, the head of a man, goat and bull, which is why he has the two heads in his fluff!
It's not so much that Blitz is afraid, but deep down he thinks he didn't deserve it. He creates his own hell by getting close to a person and then sabotaging the relationship. He wanted to be hated by the people he interacts so that he can feel the punishment he thinks he deserves.
But with Stolas there is a problem with such behavior. He needs that Grimoire, so he can't simply push away and disgust Stolas, he would loose the book. And he really loves Stosas. He want to maintain the relationship but thinks he didn't deserves it and want to destroy it subconsciously. This drives Blitz crazy and ever more closely to a mental breakdown.

It really breaks my heart😢💔 I genuinely hope something that breaks his inner wall would happen in the near future and hopefully he will have a healthy and caring relationship with Stolas, which may wash away all his traumas and self-hate. They really need to talk properly once. (I'm scared of the upcoming episode of S2🥲)

This episode was honestly a great way to introduce one of the member of the 7 sins in the show for the very first time other than Lucifer from Hazbin Hotel
I suspect that Val stole Asmodeus's look (the more lowkey attire we wears when in the box seat) as to embody the Sinner of Lust in the Pride Ring.
