Why would you do this? It makes the car worse. Maybe for acceleration/fun, but gas is superior in power density and convenience.

So those flood damaged ICE can be converted to EVs. There's a lot of them every year being sold as a scam in the used market. While it's more valuable to just harvest the spare parts from those flood damaged ICE vehicles, it would be better to salvage&convert them properly to get the transition and adoption of EV as fast as possible. Guess you need the car insurance industry to be involved in this to get working and compete with regular ICE market.

EV conversions cost the same or more than a new EV. And the converted EV is not as good. So, What's the point?

We should work on hybrid conversion kits, there's a lot of people that don't want to give up their engines and a hybrid conversion would be amazing for the planet and how much money we spend on gas. Gas engines are still more cost and time efficient with highway speeds, when the gas engine is only used for the highway. Unless we eliminate our use of fossil fuels completely there's no reason for everyone on the planet to stop using gasoline engines. Cars aren't the biggest problem with our planet but they are a massive one. Our electrical grid cant handle a massive influx of electric cars. So unless we slowly transition towards electric cars, we might accidentally burn down entire cities that can't handle the increase of power.
Electric cars are not a new power train. They were first invented in the early 1820s! Any credits for people who to convert their electric vehicles to hybrids or even to ICE cars?
Where the electric come from to charge the .. you just plug it in the wall .. why dont the government hand out galfcarts . Unless i get given a electric car thats way out budget with how much everthing cost .
