I'm just glad that Metroid prime still works on wanting TVs. That's probably my favorite game to use with a light gun.

Sadly, the original zapper cannot work with LCD modded ROM? š
I would like to take another route to this: have an USB-adapter for the original gun that allows me to use it in emulation. I found that on a FullHD TV or better I rather prefer blocky rendition of emulation to upscaling from the compositie PAL signal of the original bread box.
I wanna go back to retro gaming cause I despise modern gaming and modern gamers so knowing someone finally got this working is a huge surprise, I love this.
I wonder if this will work on the NES Classic. I have an NES to Classic controller adapter.
So I tried this, and on my TV, it always "hits" the duck if I point the gun at the TV anywhere. If I point it off the screen, then it misses. I tried playing with the brightness settings but nothing helped. Did anyone else run into this and figure out how to fix it?
The original zapper gun is all gray…..not a single drop of orange anywhere so is mine to old for this?
@madlittlepixel i have a question about the mod. i have the older blue gun and it does not work with this ips. everytime i pull the trigger even not pointing at the screen, it hits the duck. i will go ahead and try to buy the zapper in the link above and hope it works.

does this have to run on original hardware? I bought 2 different zappers, one you recommended and another one, patched the rom on a N8 cartridge with links provided and it doesn't work. I am using a HDMI dual loader console.
How's it work from like 8 feet back?
A great solution for original hardware, though these days I just use the Sinden Lightgun through emulation
Will this work with a retron HDMI?
I've never been able to get this to work on the AVS with 4 player option off, it just always kills the duck no matter where you aim.

If the info is released we can change out the old led used in the original nes zapper.
I assume this works on nt mini via everdrive aswell?
Does it still work further then 6 inches away from the screen?
