  1. Its because of such kind of people in banking and due to Life insurance targets i left banking for good. I was part of this hell hole for 7 donkey years.. HDFC bank in particular is one of the worst at such work culture. Its common and the highest authorities at that bank are well aware of it. I was with this organization when Aditya Puri was at helm of affairs.. it was sick culture then, its the same rather worse now! RBI turns a blind eye to such toxic culture and unless the regulator doesnt stop banks to sell TPP products this nonsense will prevail.

  2. " TARGET " – A Stupid Word Frequently Used in The Corporate World

Those who are working in the corporate sector are very much familiar with the stupid word " TARGET ". Listening to this word again and again has made ears rotten.

It has been observed that the target given to an employee in the corporate sector is bigger than the hill Mount Everest. Employees are also strictly stated that target has to be achieved at any cost and by any means, failing to which may invite termination from the organization.

But, do you know what it's consequences are? It's consequences are so dire. Now let's find out what an employee has to do to achieve this illogical target.

As per the corporate law of India, an employee is not bound to work beyond nine hours in a day. But unfortunately, to achieving the target an employee has to work almost round the clock in a day. But the salary is given to the employee according to nine hours only. To be clear, the employer worked the employees for a whole day but paid for only nine hours which is not at all acceptable. Thus the employees are being exploited by the employers just like the British exploited Indians.

Now, let me cognizant you about some things from which you can know how wrong an employee has to go when it comes to making illoogical target achieved.

In health sector, now a days all the doctors especially surgeons of the private hospitals are given targets of number of surgery cases has to be done on a monthly basis. Similarly, doctors are also told that targets must be achieved by any means otherwise you will be kicked out of the hospital.

Naturally then the doctors in the interest of achieving the given target used to advice the patients to undergo a surgery irrespective of requirement of the patient which is so unethical. Thus corruption breeds in the society.

We never expected to see this day that the human body will be traded in order to achieve the so called target. Oh God save us!!!

Next, you all are well aware that a few months ago a video of a webinar of an Indian private sector bank went viral. From that video we see that how and in what language the manager was abusing his subordinate employees regarding achieving the target.

But the sad thing is that these despicable managers are the most accepted in the corporate sector. They are the first to get elevated to the higher position.

Now if this is the system to use rude behaviour and threats to get things done then I would say only one thing to the employers that you don't need to recruit educated people anymore, Instead recruite some Hooliguns who can easily get the job done by holding a gun to someone's head and achieve the target very easily.

So one thing is clear from here that the word " TARGET " is a baseless word which carries no meaning. Not only that, the word " TARGET " fuels and compels people to commit unethical acts.

In fact, the problem of our society is that there are some people sitting on top of us who have no qualifications at all to get jobs but they are the ones who supervise us day after day.

Many such examples can be given with " TARGET ". But stay like this for now. More examples on " TARGET " can be discussed later.

So, before I finish writing, I would like to say one thing to the employers that Please recruite people who are educated, polite, elegant, with good taste and full of humanity instead of recruiting rude, uncivilized, half-educated, with low-taste, unkind and inhumane people. As a result, your productivity will increase, not decrease.

Employers should know that employees are assets of the organization not the street dogs who can be called and fired whenever they want.

The profit that the employers make is nothing but the result of the labor given by the employees. So the employer owes more to the employee than the employee owes to the employer.

It is the moral duty of an employer to protect the basic honor and dignity of an employee.

So lastly let's all come together and move against this corruption called " TARGET ".

    Regards,

    Pronay Banerjee

  3. Never work with DESIS anywhere around the world. They will misuse you like slaves. India has the worst work ethic. Parents and society coax you to be submissive.

  4. Every Banking and insurance company does this. In fact much worse, I would say. In insurance companies it's much more prevalent. Target pressure. The only solution is that these insurance companies should offer flexible employment where the fixed salary is less and incentives are more. Almost like a partner program. Typical employer-employee relationships won't work in any concept selling business.

  5. HDFC is one of the worst banks in India. They just suspended, he should have been terminated…Suspension is just a drama. That dog should be definitely barking in HDFC again..
