I'm curious to know what locals and most of America who are not chronically online lurking and watching YT true "crime channels" think about this case.
I bet they're more neutral about it and don't label one America's Sweetheart and the others the perps. Thing is that a chunk of people online have things going on mentally that they let emotions get in the way of seeing things as they are, not how they want them to be. The opinion they hear from someone the first time is usually what they hold on to and believe is true. If they get info that proves the contrary to their beliefs, they'll double down instead of admitting they're wrong.
